Houston Region
Houston, Texas is the corporate headquarters for Merit Parking. In January of 2001 Merit started operation with the McKinney Place Garage and quickly added Greenpark One. Merit's knowledge of the local market has allowed the addition of more than twenty properties in the three years that have followed since that time.
The Division Manager giving direction to the overall Houston operations is Jim Smiley
James Smiley, Division Manager
Jim has over ten years of experience in the parking
industry. Prior to joining Merit Parking, Jim worked for a national parking company and was
responsible for over 60 locations throughout the state of Texas. He managed a team of 15
managers and 120 employees. Jim is familiar with all types of parking operations with large,
mixed-use office building garages being his main focus.
Jim has been involved in the development of the Houston region since the company began operations in 2001. Jim has relentlessly driven the region forward during his time with Merit. He has exceeded all expectations in growth and performance of the Houston operations.
