Rodney began his parking career in 1986 after graduating from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelors degree in Marketing and Economics. During the first 15 years of his career Rodney worked for a national parking company, and was responsible for over 100 locations in multiple cities. During this same time , Rodney was also consulting with both private and public entities on existing parking operations as well as new construction and planning.

In 2001, Rodney wanting to offer clients a more personalized "Hands On" approach to operating and consulting left the national parking company to form Merit Parking.

Today, Rodney has over 20 years of parking management, operations, auditing, and consulting experience with every type of parking venue. Rodney has been involved with most every type of parking facility which include Airports, Hotels, Universities, Municipalities, Hospitals, Sports Stadiums, and mixed-use Office Buildings.

Whether as the operator, asset manager, auditor, or consultant Rodney has been and is able to offer a unique, positive, and profitable parking solution to his many clients.
